Definitely more frightening than the xenomorph. The Suff will suck you in and dessicate you.

There's no place that's safe from that monster.

The xenomorph you can shoot, The Suff... well I have no idea how you combat such a beast.

you have to lure them to the dry cleaner?

Thank you so much! I enjoyed writing this crew too but they weren't ready for the Suff... I don't know if anyone is.

Suffice to say, the Suff is not sentimental.

I'm glad somebody's keeping the Suff legend alive!

Also, I did a double take when I saw the title of this story. I published a story with the same title earlier this year, oddly enough.

Thank you!

You did! Very much enjoyed your 'The Derelict'. I was going to title it 'The Suff' again but that would have caused confusion and 'The Suff in Space' on its own sounds like a musical 😂

A musical Suff. I bet someone will run with that idea. 😝

I hope so 🤣

did someone say Musical?

Hey, it's a good title if we both used it, right?

Indeed! The word 'derelict' has a hefty feel that evokes atmosphere, does a lot of heavy lifting for the reader's imagination I think.

That it does. And there are few things creepier than an abandoned ship, just floating there silently and waiting to be discovered.

Reminds me that one of the earliest horror films I watched was Ghost Ship from 2002. That was terrifying to 10/11 year old me and I think the only other horrors I had seen were The Thing and Alien.
