The attack immediately reminded me of The Destruction of Sennacherib by Byron. I'll echo what others have said too; the art is fantastic.

That was incredible! Very impressive opening, going from zero to sixty in only a few paragraphs. No info dumps, yet we can still see a perfect picture, not only of the main character, but also his family, his village and even his culture.
