The Excellences of the Most Gracious Dominion of Aquileia acted on the information that I had presented to them not one month earlier and permitted the funding of a voyage westward into the great unknown in an effort to alleviate shortages brought about by troubles in the east. Should I succeed in linking west and east, alleviating our Dominions troubles, and those of a great many lands and peoples of Thalomar, the Excellences have promised my crew and I concessions ennobling us and our descendants for ever more on the new lands we discover. I command three ships westward to this aim. We set sail on the 1st day of Ars, 34th Year of Restoring Justice. I expect to find the lands of the east in 2 months.
