Welcome! Here I write fiction of various lengths in various forms of speculative categories. Fantasy, sci-fi, horror and all the blends therein. This post is designed to give subscribers old and new the lay of the land, a guide to what is free, what is paid, and when stories are published.

Seasons
ReddOscarWrites is split into seasons of 3 months each. A new season begins with the posting of a new novella Chapter 1, announcements will be made. Seasons of fiction will, roughly, follow the seasons of the year.
Autumn: September - November
Winter: December - February
Spring: March - May
Summer: June - August
Alongside the Thursday novella will be Tuesday One Shots (short stories). During the current season One Shots and the novella will be free to read. I will also be serialising a novel on Saturdays in the near future, announcement to come.
At the start of a new season the previous season will be entered into the Paid Collection. (Access granted with a paid subscription.)
Paid subscriptions are £5.99/~$8.00 a month, or £49.99/~$63.00 a year. (Click the button to see localised pricing, SubStack allowing.)
Chapter 1s will always be free. A collection of One Shots will be always be free, alongside a novella.
Winter 2023 begins on the 7th December 2023 with Forlorn Hope and will run till February 2024.

Tuesday - One Shots
Short stories in a wide array of worlds and genres free upon publication until the end of the season at which point most will go into the Paid Collection. Some Shots are followed by chasers.
Thursday - Novella
Serialised novella chapters. Novellas range from 10 to 12 chapters and will be free upon publication until the start of the next season at which point the novella, except Chapter 1, will enter the Paid Collection.
Saturday - Novel (Coming Soon)
Serialised novel chapters. The first 5 will be free and everything after is for paid subscribers only. The first novel will be Tale of the Six Heirs, a space-opera science-fantasy of a humanity spread across the stars on the edge of galactic civil war and confident they are the only life in the universe. Start date TBA.

One Shots - Standalone short stories, up to 5000 words. Occasional chasers (AKA: sequels).
Novellas - Up to 50’000 words and split into chapters, usually 10 but sometimes more.
